How to convert PNG to JPG

  2. The output format is already JPG. The size limit is set high (5000 KB) so quality stays high. Lower it if you also want a smaller file.

PNG files are often much larger than JPG files, especially for photos, so converting can save a lot of space. JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas become white. The tool keeps quality high by default. You can also type a smaller KB limit to shrink the file at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose quality when I convert PNG to JPG?

JPG is a lossy format, so there is a small quality change, but at the default settings it is hard to notice in photos. Graphics with sharp text or thin lines can show slight softness.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas are filled with white.

Can I convert many PNG files at once?

Yes. Select several files together and each one is converted.

Can I convert JPG back to PNG?

You can choose PNG as the output format, but it cannot restore detail that JPG already removed.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
